Out in the world.

Memora exists within the context of contemporary art — the capsules are made, named and shown as art objects. Here: where they have been exhibited, what has been written about them.

Živo Platno — Living Canvas

Galerija Svetlost · Belgrade, Serbia · 2026 · Interactive installation

What holds us together? What elements shape our identity? This work is an attempt to capture the elusive fabric of family memory through collective participation. Each family is a unique pattern on the vast canvas of life, created from habits, holidays, and quiet home rituals. This installation remains unfinished until the viewer touches it. It comes to life only through your stories.

— Nikita Bokov & Christine Bienvue — Memora, 2026

Visitors write a family tradition of their own, roll it into a scroll and place it inside the capsule — so the piece is finished only by the people who take part in it: a collective capsule made in public.

Wood, textile, cement, monofilament line, twine, sealing wax, paper.
